About

Pine River Contracting

A brief history

Started by Mathieu Robidas in 2021 as Keeno Forestry. We started solely as a falling and forest health company. With a 4 year direct reward contract for beetle management in the east Kootenays, that got the company off the ground. Robidas has since moved on to teaching university students about forestry in Coticook QC. The company was taken over by Andrew Simmonds and Chris Cayabyab in 2025, and changed to “Pine River Contracting” in 2026. Now we specialize in wildfire training, consulting, falling and forest health.
